Simon Mills' recent presentation on Condition-Based Maintenance.

Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) is recognised as a cost-effective strategy to improve the effectiveness of maintenance programmes. allowing maintenance to be proactive – rather than reactive. To avoid poor application of CBM, factors such as fault and failure modes, criticality and cost-effectiveness must be considered, and using the wrong maintenance technique can waste time, money and resources - often with no effect on improving or maintaining availability. This presentation discusses key steps to implementing effective CBM in line with best practice, including PAS 55 & ISO 17359, ensuring optimum selection, application and management of Condition Monitoring (CM) techniques.
