Condition Monitoring (CM) is an integrated modern approach
to maintenance in capital-intensive process industries. CM
techniques applied singularly or collectively to an item of
plant, involve studying some aspects of that item during
operation to detect a developing condition that might lead
to premature failure, and then determine the cause of that
condition. Consideration of these factors, together with
plans for current and future duty, allow timely, planned

reduced maintenance spend.
